What can I do if I’m unhappy with the answer I receive?
We’re sorry the answer you received wasn’t satisfactory. We’ll do everything we can to get you the answer you need.
You can request a new Expert at no additional cost. You can find the link to request a new Expert at the bottom of your question, and another Expert will respond shortly.
I don’t recognize your company on my credit card or bank statement. Why are you charging me?
A charge appeared on your statement because you had an online chat with an Expert associated with one of JustAnswer’s subsidiary brands and you signed up for a monthly membership. We then sent you an email confirming your JustAnswer membership.
We have many brands in the JustAnswer family—you can see JustAnswer’s family of brands here and the billing descriptors they use on billing statements. If you don’t see the brand you signed up with, don’t worry, we’re here to help. Please contact us to reach us by phone or email.
What is included in my JustAnswer family of brands membership?

How can I cancel my JustAnswer membership and close my account?
Well, we’d hate to see you go, but you can cancel your JustAnswer membership easily by logging in to your account. Click on My Account in the top right corner, click on Membership, and select Cancel and Confirm. If you need help with this, please contact us by phone or email.
Remember, you can always get a second opinion or a new answer from a different Expert.
What if I forgot my username and password?
You can always reset your password. Follow this link and click on the Forgot your password link to have it emailed to you.
In place of your username, you may use your email address on file with JustAnswer when logging in. If you still experience trouble logging in, contact Customer Care by phone or email as listed on this page.
Typically, you should receive your new password within minutes. If you requested a new password and haven't received one yet, we recommend checking your email spam folder. Sometimes these emails get stuck in spam, and customers are not aware.
If you have a Google Mail (Gmail) account, we recommend checking your Primary and Promotions folders for the email, too. It is also recommended that you only request one new password. If you still cannot locate your new password, please contact Customer Care.

Can I get further explanation on how the charges work?
When you use JustAnswer, you’re signing up for a monthly membership-based service that gives you ongoing access to professionals, 24/7. You’re charged a one-time join fee and a monthly membership fee for use of our services. Both fees are charged upon sign up, but the monthly charges will continue to occur unless you cancel. You can cancel anytime before your next billing period to avoid future charges. Think of us like you would your phone bill—you need to cancel our services to avoid future charges.
Why is there an additional charge for a premium service?
Premium Services are outside of JustAnswer's standard question-and-answer platform. Experts can offer you services outside of the online question-and-answer chat, like a live phone call or document preparation. Because Premium Services are conducted off the website and require more than an online question-and-answer chat, the additional charge is compensated to the Expert for their additional time helping you.
I have a JustAnswer membership, but I’m being asked to pay. Why?
There are several reasons why you might be asked to pay for your question after you enroll in a membership. Some of these reasons include but are not limited to:
- You are not logged into your account. Please log in and try posting your questions again.
- The Expert offered you an Additional Service, like a phone call, secure remote assistance, or document preparation.
- Your payment failed. Update your payment information here.
- You are not enrolled in a membership. Please check your account information to make sure you are enrolled, or contact Customer Care for further assistance.
Will I be charged any other fees?
JustAnswer will charge a small join fee, typically $1-$5, when you post your initial question. If you've enrolled in JustAnswer’s membership service, you will be automatically charged your membership fee each month until you cancel.
